Jackie the Bald Eagle honored at Ontario baseball game
Thousands of fans came together Tuesday night to celebrate the legacy of Jackie the bald eagle during an Ontario Tower Buzzers baseball game.
The minor league team is honoring the beloved bird with a special pregame flyover and educational stations focused on bald eagle conservation.
The celebration also gives fans an opportunity to support the organization that helped tell Jackie’s story. In total, the team reports they raised more than $10,000 dollars for Friends of the Big Bear Valley.
Half of the night’s ticket sales will be donated to the Friends of Big Bear Valley Foundation.

Fans also purchased special “Fly High Jackie” merchandise, including plush toys and T-shirts.
For many who followed Jackie over the years, the tribute offers a chance to remember her legacy while helping support bald eagle conservation and education.
