Cabazon Man Arrested on Suspicion of Murder After Human Remains Found

A 48-year-old Cabazon man is behind bars after Riverside County Sheriff's deputies found human remains in the community over the weekend.

Jesse Kennedy of Cabazon was arrested on suspicion of murder after investigators discovered the remains Saturday morning near Williams Avenue and Poplar Street, according to the Riverside County Sheriff's Department.

Investigators identified Kennedy as a suspect and took him into custody.

Authorities have not released many details about what led investigators to identify Kennedy or what evidence connects him to the death.

The victim's identity has not yet been released.

The investigation remains active as detectives continue working to determine what happened and how the victim died.

Kennedy remains in custody while the case moves forward. An arrest or criminal charge is not a determination of guilt, and the allegations against him have not been proven in court.
