Palm Springs Begins Annual Palm Tree Maintenance, Drivers Warned of Temporary Parking Restrictions

Palm Springs has kicked off its annual palm tree maintenance project, and drivers in downtown and uptown areas should be prepared for temporary parking restrictions.

Crews are trimming palm trees along Palm Canyon Drive, Indian Canyon Drive, nearby side streets and throughout the Arenas District.

The city says the project is expected to take about a month to complete. Work will take place Monday through Friday, beginning at 7 a.m. and wrapping up around 2:30 p.m.

Temporary no-parking signs will be posted one day before crews arrive in each area. Drivers are encouraged to pay attention to the signs and plan accordingly.

The city says businesses in the affected areas will remain open throughout the project.
