15 años de prisión a miembro del Cartel de Sinaloa que operaba en San Diego
Un hombre que traficaba drogas y lavaba dinero para el Cártel de Sinaloa, ha sido sentenciado a pasar más de 15 años en prisión, según lo anunciado este mártes por la Oficina del Fiscal de Estados Unidos.
Los fiscales afirman que Roberto Gallegos-Lechuga de 39 años, coordinaba y supervisaba el tráfico de kilos de cocaína, metanfetaminas y heroína de México a Estados Unidos, además de coordinar que las ganancias obtenidas de la venta de dichas drogas, regresara a México, supervisando a mensajeros que contrabandeaban cientos de miles de dólares en efectivo fuera de Estados Unidos.

Gallegos-Lechuga fue extraditado a San Diego desde México en marzo de 2020 y fue sentenciado a una pena de 188 meses en prisión, luego de que se declarara culpable de conspirar para cometer lavado de dinero internacional.

Otros siete individuos se han declarado culpables en este caso. En casos relacionados, 20 otros detenidos que trabajaban como operadores de casas de seguridad, mensajeros y contrabandistas, se han declarado culpables y ya están cumpliendo su condena, de acuerdo con la Oficina del Fiscal de Estados Unidos.
