Diaz Training Camp's Luka Plantić Set for Biggest Fight of His Career
The Diaz Training Camp in Indio has built a reputation as one of boxing's premier destinations for developing world champions.
Over the years, legendary trainer Joel Diaz has guided some of the sport's biggest names, including former world champions Timothy Bradley Jr., Ruslan Provodnikov, and Abner Mares.

On August 29, undefeated super middleweight Luka Plantić (13-0) will step into the ring for the biggest fight of his professional career when he faces Lester Martinez (20-0-1) for the WBC Interim World Super Middleweight Championship.
For Plantić, the bout represents an opportunity to capture his first major world title and continue his rapid ascent through one of boxing's deepest divisions.
Since arriving at the Diaz Training Camp, Plantić has sharpened his skills under the guidance of Joel Diaz, joining a long list of elite fighters who have called the Indio gym home.

A troubling history is coming to light in a Palm Desert husband’s death. 65-year old Vicky Kim is accused in the death of her husband — but prosecutors say she had previously faced several domestic violence cases involving him. The Riverside County District Attorney’s Office says it had secured protective orders against Kim before a judge later resolved her cases as misdemeanors, released her from custody and terminated those orders.
