We recently brought you the story of Linda Paulding, who fell ill at The Juice in Palm Springs and ended up in the hospital. But that wasn’t the end of her troubles.
While Linda was hospitalized, her car—left in The Juice’s parking lot—was towed. Now, it’s going to cost her more than $1,000 to retrieve it. Her nephew is outraged that a business would have a sick woman’s car towed under such circumstances, and even more upset at the steep cost she’s now facing.
On our Good Neighbor Facebook page, viewer Brad weighed in. He said he wouldn’t be surprised if The Juice receives a kickback from the towing company each time a car exceeds the parking limit. To be clear, we are not suggesting that’s the case. But if it were true—it would be extremely heartless.
We’ve called The Juice multiple times to give them a chance to respond. No answer. Maybe they’re just really busy making juice.
But they are aware of our reporting. One of our viewers received an email from The Juice telling them not to believe our segment—claiming our show is “hyped up” to get ratings.
Now, we appreciate the compliment. All shows are designed to attract viewers. But here’s the thing: if we got something wrong, come on the show and talk about it. Set the record straight. Because I can promise you this—you’re not helping yourselves by staying silent.
