Spectacular Desert Views and a Chance of Rain Ahead

The Coachella Valley never fails to amaze with its stunning evening skies. From glowing sunsets to vibrant purple hues, the views from Rancho Mirage's Highway 111 camera are simply unforgettable. These scenes remind us why we love the desert, and viewers like you help us capture its beauty—keep those photos coming! Email your snapshots to NBC Palm Springs. As for the weather, conditions remain pleasant through the week. Wednesday’s high reached 74°F, slightly below the seasonal average of 76°F, while overnight lows dip into the 40s for the low desert and 30s in the high desert. Thursday and Friday will bring a gradual warm-up, with highs peaking at 82°F on Friday under calm, dry skies. Looking ahead, a powerful storm system over the Pacific Northwest is already drenching Northern California. While our region remains dry through the weekend, the system may bring some moisture to Southern California early next week. Current models predict only a 27% chance of rain in Palm Springs and 17% in Thermal, with light sprinkles expected at best. Enjoy the warmth and sunshine through Friday, and keep an eye on the Comfort Air 7-Day Forecast for updates as the rain potential approaches!
