Coachella Valley Heat Persists with Highs in the 90s, Cooler Temperatures Coming Soon

It was another scorching day across the Coachella Valley with temperatures peaking at 94°F, well above the seasonal norm of 75°F. As the sun set over Rancho Mirage, the Walter Clark Highway 111 cam offered a picturesque view, even without the usual high clouds that create colorful skies.

Evening temperatures are more comfortable, with lows dipping into the 60s, making it a great time for an evening stroll. Cities like Yucca Valley reported 74°F at sunset, while Indio sat at 86°F, and Big Bear cooled down to 57°F.

🌡️ Tomorrow’s Outlook:

  • Morning: Starts warm with 64°F at 6 AM, rising into the 80s by mid-morning

  • Highs: Between 91°F and 95°F, still above average but slightly cooler than today

💨 Wind & Fire Danger:
Winds will remain breezy through tomorrow but are expected to peak Thursday, particularly in Desert Hot Springs, the San Gorgonio Pass, and Yucca Valley. With offshore flow developing, single-digit humidity levels will raise the fire danger across Southern California.

🌦️ Looking Ahead:
While rain chances are minimal—only the possibility of light sprinkles—temperatures will gradually cool:
📅 Thursday: Highs in the 80s (elevated fire threat)
📅 Weekend: More 80s with continued cooling
📅 Next Week: Comfortable 70s return

Hang in there—just one more day in the 90s before relief arrives!
