Coachella Valley – April 22, 2025 — If you're heading out to Stagecoach this weekend—or doubling down with a daytime visit to the Desert Rodeo—pack your cowboy boots but leave the heavy layers behind. The weather is shaping up to be near-perfect for outdoor festivities.
Sunny Skies, Breezy Nights
The week kicks off with highs in the low 90s, slightly above seasonal averages, but that’s set to change in the coming days. By Thursday, cooler air moves in, dropping daytime temps into the 80s. Come the weekend, highs will hover in the low to mid 70s—absolutely ideal for long days at the rodeo and nights filled with live country music.
When the Stars Hit the Stage...
Festival headliners like Jelly Roll, Luke Combs, and Bryan will be taking the stage around 11:10 p.m., and by then, fans can expect comfortable temps in the 60s. That’s a serious upgrade from the scorching desert heat that usually marks festival weekends.
Wind Watch for Wednesday
While the weekend looks mild, Wednesday will bring gusty winds up to 50 mph in wind-prone areas such as North Palm Springs and Desert Hot Springs. Commuters and festival prep crews should plan accordingly. The winds will ease off slightly by Thursday but could return Friday, especially around the San Gorgonio Pass.
Weekend Outlook: A Chance of Showers
A passing system could bring light showers to parts of Southern California over the weekend. While the rain chances remain low in the desert, gusty winds may return, especially Saturday. Still, the cooler temps and mix of sun and clouds promise comfort for festival-goers.
