Your SoCal Weather Briefing for Tuesday, April 29, 2025!
The Coachella Valley recorded highs in the 70s on Sunday, 80s yesterday, with much warmer weather expected today.
You can expect lots of sunshine today with dry air, breezy winds, and slightly above-normal high temperatures in the lower-90s.
More of the same for Wednesday and Thursday with just a few extra clouds. Friday will be our warmest day this week when we warm into the middle-90s.
An upper-level low will drag a cold front through the Southwest this weekend triggering gusty on-shore winds, cooler temperatures along with precipitation.
Although there will be widely scattered showers over the San Gorgonio Pass into the Inland Empire including area mountains, the Coachella Valley will remain rain-free. Valley highs will slip from the upper-80s on Saturday to the upper-60s/lower-70s on Sunday.

Palm Springs firefighters responded Thursday to a report of a person struck by lightning in the Chino Canyon area. The person was transported to a hospital for medical treatment. Firefighters also responded to a palm tree fire in Chino Canyon that officials say was caused by an apparent lightning strike. Estevan Figueroa of King’s Club Barbershop is giving back across the Coachella Valley — one haircut at a time.
